Training opportunities and events will be posted here, as announced. We have also provided, below, information and links to the various training and events opportunities provided by OSL member churches and team members.
Usually held on the first Saturday of each month, at 7:00pm, Sabbath Praise is hosted by OSL member church, St Philips in Dorridge.
A time of ‘worship, word, and wonders’ - and an opportunity for OSL members and friends to fellowship.
OSL holds regular conferences and services of Ordination and Accreditation. These events are normally held twice per year, and represent an opportunity for fellowship for all members.
The conferences also provide an opportunity for members to celebrate ordination of new ministers, and accreditation of those serving in various capacities in the Kingdom.
OSL member church ‘The Church of St Leonard at Wroxall’ in Warwickshire is uniquely positioned to offer short (typically weekend or overnight) retreats, regular study and an opportunity to connect with mature biblical teaching and discourse.
It is the only church in the UK to be sited within the grounds of a hotel - and has partnered with the hospitality of the environment, alongside the ancient history of the site, including its 700 year old church and thousand year old priory ruins, dating back to 1141AD, to offer a truly unique experience of restoration and reflection.
Retreats and Study are hosted and delivered by The Church’s leadership team - OSL’s Bishop David Carr, Rev Canon Dave Cooper and Mandy Cooper. They each hold post-graduate qualifications and nearly 100 years’ collective experience in theological exegesis and a synergy of applied ministry experience.
The Church of St Leonard at Wroxall is also host to many of OSL’s services of Ordination - which represents an ideal opportunity for incoming ordinands and those receiving recognition to visit and connect with the church leadership.
Discipling the Nations is an educational charity, providing vocational qualifications and chaplaincy training.
DtN’s mission is to offer flexible, affordable, accredited courses to the local church - equipping people for the work of the ministry.
DtN has a special educational and training ministry for chaplains, many of whom go on to be recognised by OSL, post completion.
Led by OSL’s Canon Teacher, Rev Canon John Maunder, who holds an MA in Theology and extensive experience in church ministry, with teaching also delivered by Bishop David Carr, DtN offers training at various locations and also online.
